Roundtable

Each ONE – Reach ONE

This presentation will discuss workforce development and college outreach efforts – (Recruiting Nextgen Women Leaders/ Retaining Talent ). Workforce development isn’t a buzzword—it’s a business priority. And the truth is, if we want more women in the security industry, we can’t keep waiting for them to “find us.” We have to be intentional about building the pipeline, showing up earlier, and creating real opportunities that make this industry feel like a place where women can build long-term careers.

In this panel, we’ll talk about the workforce development work happening through FAST and SIA, including college outreach efforts that are helping us build stronger connections with students and emerging talent. We’ll share what we’re seeing, what’s working, and what needs to change if we want to recruit the next generation of women leaders.

And we’ll go beyond recruiting—because getting women into the industry isn’t the win. Keeping them, supporting their growth, and helping them see a path forward is what actually matters. We’ll talk about retention through the lens of leadership, culture, mentorship, sponsorship, and development—because women stay where they feel valued and where they can see a future.

This conversation is for anyone who wants to be part of the solution—whether you’re building teams, mentoring talent, or driving workforce strategy inside your organization.

  • Walk away with real ideas for how we can bring more women into the security industry earlier—especially through FAST and SIA workforce development efforts like college outreach and early career engagement.
  • Understand what actually helps women stay and grow once they’re hired, including the kinds of support, development, and visibility that lead to long-term careers (not quick turnover).
  • See what collaboration can look like in a practical way—how companies, industry groups, and schools can work together to build stronger pipelines, and what steps people can take to get involved right”
